How can anyone kill someone else in the name of God?
This never ceases to amaze me. What is going through their minds? “God, who created you, want’s me to uncreate you”. Yes, I made up the word uncreate, but you get my point. Do they think God’s purpose for all those people that died in the Twin Towers incident was just to be murdered in order to prove their point? How can anyone be so bold as to say they kill in the name of a God? The way I see it is that if God, or Allah, or whatever Deity is your particular favorite wanted you dead, He (or She) is powerful enough to take care of it on his (or Her) own. That’s probably why they came up with natural disasters. If you ever hear a story about some guy who was in a crowd of people when suddenly a bolt of lighting shot down from the sky killing only him. You will hear people will say things like, ‘That is so weird” or “What a freak accident” or “Arrrgghhh” from the guy who got struck. Well, I say, maybe it wasn’t an accident. Maybe, it was God taking care of some business. A little divine justice. I guess I could be wrong, but that’s not the point. The point is that it’s not our job to determine who lives and who dies and you should let Allah do his own dirty work.
I’m not a religious man myself and I don’t really believe in Heaven or Hell. I accept the fact that I don’t know how human life started and I don’t know what happens when it ends. I gave up on trying to figure that stuff out a long time ago because I got tired of the nausea and headaches that came with trying to understand the unknowable. But at times like this I find myself hoping that there is a heaven and hell. Partly because I would like to think that those poor murdered souls will find peace in Heaven on the other side, but mostly because I want these extremist bastards to spend eternity burning in Hell. And none of this Dante crap, I’m hoping for some Hellraiser tortures where Pinhead is on the clock. Wouldn’t it be fun to see Osama Bin Dickhead with all those little hooks in him and then, WHAM, he’s torn into a million pieces. And then it’s done over and over again, forever? That’s gotta hurt. The down side of this little daydream is that since I’m not a religious person, I’ll probably be down there with him. It would be worth it. If I can muster up the strength, I’ll point my finger at him and say Ah Ha!
I don’t pretend to fully understand the problems in the Middle East. I am a casual observer at the most, and to me it looks like a hornets nest that is being shaken by one of those machines that mixes up paint. There are always pissed off hornets buzzing around. I could never pick a side because the situation is too screwed up. America often sides with Israel and that makes everyone else hate us. That’s cool. I think they have the right to hate America if they want to, but they can hate us without trying to murder us. How can they just kill indiscriminately? It is so cowardly. It seems to me, there has to be a better target than just any old American. At least stick to military targets. If Uncle Sam used these same tactics, we would just erase Iraq with nukes and be done with it (George W’s preference). I hope it never comes to that because I don’t want our country to be responsible for the death of so many innocent people based on the actions of their idiotic leader. Look, there are plenty of people out there that I hate, but I would never wish any physical harm to them. That is, as long as they don’t harm me or mine. Which brings me to my next point.
Religion and hatred are not good reasons to kill people, but revenge is a pretty good motive.
Anyone who thinks flying a plane into the side of a building full of people is a good idea should be removed from the human race, preferably by death. And since Hell is probably not real, I think we should create one of those hook torture devices from Hellraiser that I mentioned earlier and use it on any convicted terrorists. Sure we could only do it to them one time, but think about the enjoyment that would bring.
In closing, I would like to say to the people who hate America, “Hey, ease up guys. It’s not our fault we’re bigger and better than you are, we just are.
Your God made us this way. Ah Ha!”
My sympathies go out to anyone who was lost or lost someone to the
horrific act of cowardice that was commited on September 11, 2001.
